Starbucks Poetry To Start the morning!

"Starbucks Makes the World Go Round
You pick your savor, your size, your shots, one, two, and three
Your tall caramel latte tastes like money to me.
You sip without thinking what is tingling against your lips
And it crawls and it slides downhill your neck to your hips.
The taste may be sugary, may be searing, may be sour
But your spendy swallow will be gone in less then a half of an hour
Your appealing emerald Starbucks cup cost you 2 gallons of gas
As the recession is raising those prices will not last
Your breakfast becomes cheaper; you may think it's a save
But who is the industry helping now anyway,
Themselves or the citizens who pays
But go ahead and continue to purchase from that trendy café
Because with competition rising they'll take your order any day
It's convenient for you, we are the people
But a Starbucks on every curve doesn't make all coffee shops equal
Your cup now sits in the trashcan; you could have at least recycled
But, I understand, you wouldn't want to delay your precious morning cycle."
I liked everything about this poem. The word choice and the points made across thru out. The irony laying in each line. After this who knows when my next starbucks will be? Only if it were free maybe? GRADE A WORK, OOF!

The Walking Dead Volumes 3-5
Past two days when I found sometime to finished Volumes 3-5.
As this series continues, so many fucked up things happen. Excuse the language but thats pretty much the only way to describe the events thru out this comic series. Its very entertaining I suppose because I still would like to complete this set.
The writers and artist justify that the world is coming to an end and theres no hope for humanity whatsoever. People dying, getting killed, turning into zombies, losing their minds, killing each other, murdering each other and kids.
Theres alot of things that make you hope zombies dont ever become a real problem to Humanity. Oh and as you get deeper into the series, they throw fighting and rape into the mix. A real comic book that if ever turns into a movie shall be a rated RF, for REALLY FUCKKKKEEDDD!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
Yes, a must to watch with your girlfriend or anyone that is a girl and even with her parents! Not very hardcore at all, but the best thing about this movie is exposing some more awesome bands of the indie scene such as; The Submarines, We Are Scientist, Army Navy, The Real Tuesdays Weld and Vampire Weekend with many many more! Most of the bands made songs just for this movie and their work really doesn't go unnotice, especially Vampire Weekend's "ottoman" and "Last Words" by The Real Tuesdays. Also, as for the movie goes, running around a big city that doesn't sleep for some secret gig of your favorite band with a girl thats cute is a theme that I think everyone could roll too. but for you hardcore fucks, I would not recommend this movie if you can't sit still without moshing a few times. All in All, good movie with better music. Its a promising soundtrack,

Although a few days late on posting this but Late March, Don't miss New Found Glory on tour w/Bayside, Set Your Goals and Now, Shai Hulud. Also, heres the official word from them since of the recent break up of VERSE (opener for Tour) and Shai Hulud as Replacements.
From The Band;
"Hello Party People,
As most of you already know, the band VERSE, who was meant to open our "Not Without A Fight" tour has broken up. We were excited to tour with them but thats life. We have been receiving tons of messages from people asking us about who are we replacing Verse with. Since tickets were already on sale we feel it is only fair to replace them with a band from a similar genre. That way kids who listen to Verse wont be too disappointed... plus we feel it makes for a better show to have a more diverse lineup.
Now to announce the band:
The band that will replace Verse will be none other than SHAI HULUD!! They are a fellow Floridian band and we grew up in the South Florida scene playing shows side by side. We felt this would be an interesting and fun replacement. They have an awesome album that came out recently called "MISANTHROPY PURE".
Check it!
For those of you that could be wondering, I might make an appearance on the mic but I cant promise or commit to anything. Shai Hulud's singer rules anyway.

Miles Behind Us
After being hooked to the first one, I had to get my hands on the rest of them. Good Thanks to my girlfriend and Preston especially, I Finished Volume 2 of these series. Now I must say, Vol. 2 had less gore than the first one although there was a little excitement here and there, the ending still got me to want to keep going in this comic series.
It picks up right where the last one leads off and although I want to get you guys into these comics, there is little detail of what I can tell you because its so short. And also because its so short there maybe spoilers, so you're gonna have to read them yourself. Its good, its gorey, and its a good time killer.

So, as you may all know. This economy is complete shit and there have been massive amounts of people that have been laid off. This really hits home because well, I myself have fallen under this category, minus getting any Unemployment Benefits from the Gov't due to some technicalities. I divert, the reason for me posting about this comic is to the fact, I have alot of spare time and my wonderful girl flashed this infront of me and I was immediately drawn to it. Its about some guy waking up from a coma to a World War Z. ZOMBIES! Zombies everywhere! And just like every damn Zombie move, book, Comic theres horror, gore, love and even romance and more ZOMBIES! I finished this in about an Hour and Forty Five minutes and it was great. Had my attention the whole time and I want more and I do plan to start on the others in this series. Til I get to the next one, OOOOF WHUUUMP, BARRRRUMMOOOOMM!
